Crap Detection, Aden Cruz

Howard Rheingold’s article “Crap Detection 101” appears to be well balanced and credible. His purpose of cautioning readers against false or deceiving information that litters the web is neutral, as he has nothing to personally gain in conveying this.

The information he provides is substantiated by links to tools and resources.

Links to Rheingold’s biography, e-mail, and website is also available, which helps to confirm the author’s credibility.

The article is also relatively current, having been posted on June 30, 2009.

He does not condemn the web for having all this CRAP on it so I feel what he is writing is balanced and accurate. I like the way you wrote this Aden.

  2. Overall I think this article is very well written. I don't see any spelling errors and you choice of wording is very sound. I did notice you use a few pronouns in this particular blogpost and I wonder if maybe it would have been more beneficial to readers if you would have used the proper nouns instead. For example, in the second paragraph instead of he you could have said Rheingold.

Even so, I still feel that you have done an excellent job in making sure that your writing is clear, and mistake free.

    Good job Aden!
